Ray Crites is a Pacific Northwest-based screenwriter whose obsession with storytelling began as a teenager writing short stories at the kitchen table in the middle of the night. Influenced by Gen-X pop culture and cinematic giants like Spielberg and Coppola, he spent years refining his craft.

After pausing to raise his family, a choice he will never regret, his creative spark reignited after taking local film courses where he wrote his first play and short film script.

Today, Ray writes visceral, brutally honest features that explore the raw mechanics of the human condition. His portfolio includes; Morningstar, Nevergreen, the combat-veteran thriller Magpie, and his current project Banshee, a gritty crime thriller about a drug addicted mother hunting down the trafficking kingpin who murdered her daughter.
